Must have been more to this show also, as it was recently released as a DP

besides the like of shows they did in toronto in 67, and say, pigpen holdin it down with 'pain in my heart', or 'the same thing', this here is, to my nowhere-near experiences ears, the hungriest GD and youngest cd. the dick's pick is truly baroque, the way madonna describes the dead: 'boogie woogie acid rock'

CAUTION>part of the setlist...classic Pigpen raps & psycho Jerry/Phil jamming
- (02/09/2011)

Awesome night; DP22 is worth picking up. The Alligator > Caution taps right into that insane speed-dance rhythm that was so prevalent on 2/14.

IMO the keyboard sounds like TC and not PPen.

I love the sound of late '67 and almost all of '68, but this show is one of the smoothest of the period. Worth the listen for the surprise that pops up in Alligator. Also, the Feedback out of Caution provided pieces of the ending to Born Cross-Eyed (single version), as well as some of the feedback pieces included on Anthem Of The Sun.

***Check out Feb. 14, 68 Alligator drums section, which provided most of Anthem's Alligator drums onward.
