Comments:

My first Dead show. I went along with friends who obviously were hipper than me. I remember telling my older brother who was a student at Kent State Univ. where I was heading that night and he replied "they're one of the top bands in the country." What a sound, I felt like I was with old friends who I knew I had never met before

They were supposed to play two nites here but someoneon their roadcrew got into problems with local law enforcement! This was among the first big concerts for this relatively new venue.

First Me and Bobby McGee. Somethings tellin me that they started playing that as a memorium to Janis Joplin who died over a month before this and used to do a KILLER version of the tune. Just a theory though.

Just mentioned in Dave's Picks # 51 as being a full multitrack recording returned to the vault in 2021. And, as Dave L. allowed mention of it in the liner notes, he'll undoubtedly want to get this tape out there into fan hands. Bueno!
