David Gans (of the GD Hour) mentioned this show as a major influence on his ideas of narative themes in setlists for his own shows.

if we are lucky the people at rhino will one day release a SBD of this show

No need, there exists a phenomenal aud of this show on the archive!
-phil's liver (01/20/2010)

I disagree with the audience being 'phenomenal' .... it's not bad except for the vocals, which was a HUGE part of their sweet 74' sound.... of course I'm grateful we have anything but hopefully someday we see a SBD of this show - I think it's the only show of 74' without a nice SBD recording.

You can really hear the excellence of the ambitious Wall of Sound system combined with the superb acoustics of The Hollywood Bowl on this audience tape.

Was at this show.

I remember they parked the cars in groups on 100 or so right next to each other-so you couldn't leave early if you wanted to.
-Phil D (09/25/2012)

Phil and Ned are just killin it during Seastones. I wish i coulda experienced a set break during this summer. So chill for a set break.

The around & around set 1 closer is iff the chain. The boys peak right around here. Followed by a SMOKING china rider. Rider is especially hot.
This shit is legit. Sound Board not necessary. Give it a listen.
-Zippy (07/21/2017)

Dope Phil and Ned. Short but pushes the wall pretty far. Super groovy.

One of the most wicked versions of Playing In The Band. Top tier
-Luke (11/07/2021)

Phil Lesh's last ever show was a 50th anniversary tribute of their 7/21/74 show. It appears that not the entire show was replicated.

RIP, Phil. Searching for the sound no more.
