My Favorite coupled with 11-2-77!

I just feel this is where the DEAD peaked!!! It was all downhill after this...........
-Jeffrey-O

I meant 10-2-77, the next night.

OHHH, But what a ride!!!!!!
-Jeffrey-O

Jerry throws down the "Deal" and its lucid melody until the shakedown in the streets.
-Very Grateful

First 'Black Peter' since 10/19/74

Dead didn't peak in '77 they had many good years left
- (07/31/2012)

The dead peaked in shows up until 1995. Come on. Esp. Early 80's and 89 & 90 with Brent at his finest i wouldn't trade some of those shows for any...Ignorant comment.

One long peak....
- (07/13/2014)

I discover gems from all years all the time. I made several hundred tapes from the Greateful Dead hour and they were in storage for a long time. I have pulled them out and started to listen. I have 3 4 5 songs on each side, small snippets. I always discover gems, just listened to a 1993 that is fantastic. the voices may have aged, but the playing remained sharp, seems to me...

Trivia for musicians... This is the last show where they played Dire Wolf in the original key of "E". Five days later, in Arizona, they suddenly switched keys to "G" and kept it that way till the end.

Peaked? Europe 72
-Anonymous (06/25/2020)

When the Dead "peaked" is obviously subjective. This is a great show. Certainly better than anything from '94 - '95. Better than Englishtown? Veneta 72? 11/11/73? Closing of Winterland?
- (09/23/2022)

11/11/73 is a mind blower. 94/95 Dead suck. I mean Garcia was nodding out half the time.
