I spent years looking for this tape in the mid-90s, when I ran Dartmouth College Radio's Grateful Dead show. I never found a recording, but I was told by folks who had been there or who had heard recordings that the acoustics in Thompson Arena (Dartmouth's hockey venue) were really lousy, and the recordings are consequently pretty poor.
I heard from somewhere that this show was Bobby's first (unrehearsed) attempt at playing slide guitar, which was initially less than successful.

Check out the Cassidy>Candyman in set one and of course the Estimated>Eyes(longer pre jam before vocals, bobby present more and quick chords) The really tried out Werewolves in 78.

There is a very nice audience recording of this show up on the archive and making the rounds. Some of it made its way onto TODAY IN GRATEFUL DEAD HISTORY in May 2009. This is a solid show with a nice Warewolves encore.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this recording is that Al Franken and Tom Davis can clearly be heard having conversations with each other in between songs. Start listening after "They Love Each Other" ends for the first appearance of Al and Tom. They must have been standing right next to whoever was taping the show. Just a cool little tidbit that ads another level of interest to this recording

It was fun camping out waiting for tickets. Senior spring and the Dead. When the enc0re turned out to be Werewolves it made my day.

This recording is ultra-boring. They're trying hard, but it's just not happening today.
