Comments:

A shakedown opener that smokes from the beginning to end. 1st set is one of my favorites. The crowd is what compliments this show so nicely. Something must have been in the air that evening. Try and find this show on SHN!! unbeatable!!

right on Ryan! i just got a nice cd copy of this show and it truly does smoke! when the dead came to any upstate new york locale you pretty much could expect a high energy show...this one is no exception!

last show at Utica.

I checked the setlists from this show and 1-14-79.
I only attended one of those Utica shows, and I am 99% sure that they played a Rolling Stones song late in 2nd set or as an encore. Maybe Satisfaction?
Does this ring a bell or was I hearing things?

- (03/22/2009)

Satisfaction was played two months later at the Carrier Dome, perhaps you were at this show?>
- (01/20/2014)

Satisfaction was also played the next spring at Rochester. That was an arena too, so it seems likelier for a blurry memory than the Carrier Dome.

1st Set absolutely smokes: killer Shakedown and Jerry just burning on the Little Red Rooster solos.

>>> my first of 151 shows overs the years up till 1995 & without Jerry @ Santa Clara in June 2015..... miss jerry so much..

Where to begin? Another scorcher from March of '81. This show is a fun listen from start to finish. Every song is played with energy and pep. This show would be an ideal candidate for a Dave's Picks release. Doubt there is a releasable source in the archive though. At least there are really good audience recordings on the archive for this show.

>>> How can you NOT listen to Sirius XM23 everyday?
the Live Shows broadcast at 3A, NOON & 9PM East Coast daily. XM23 chooses seven (7) shows & bounces then across those three times.
As for Tomorrow, You will Wake Up & Find AGAIN that the Sky was Yellow & the Sun is Bbue.....
