What an experience. It was fantastic to see the Dead open with Casey Jones. The Wang Dang Dootle was another highlight.

This is one of my most memorable shows ever. Perhaps the most memorable! You see, after scoring some tixs under the pavillion, we heard the announcement that there was limited availability to stand up front in the orchestra pit. My buddy and I ran like cheetahs and made into the pit with about 25 other lucky Dead Heads. After the intro, I just happened to catch Jerry's tuning, it was like name that tune! I yelled Casey Jones! Jerry, Bobby, Phil, all looked at me. I'll never forget Jerry looking over the rim of his glasses at me with a nod of how impressed he was that I "called" it as they broke into an awesome version of this rarely played classic.....

Brent (?) screams bloody murder during the Casey Jones outro, and you just know it's gonna get stranger from there. Wonderful show with a nice jam out of He's Gone. Jerry is a bit forgetful with the words but does a good job with Althea and Stella. Even Don't Need Love is played with verve.

Nice Funiculi Funicula before Casey.

Agree Casey Jones was amazing and I love the story of the guy calling for it from the pit. The improv jam after He's Gone was unexpected and great--especially Phil!
