My friends and I refer to the opening IKO as THE IKO!! We were rippin' and so was the band! Classic opener for our altered state!!

I agree, by far the best aiko i ever saw or heard. major screw up of round and round, jerry started but bod said no way and did sugar mag instead. not the best show, but lots of fun, kinda cold for summer, but i found a hooded sweatshirt in the seats afterwards, miracle! lots of fireworks again, my first mr. fantasy also. great philzone show.

This was my first show! That was a truly transformational evening for me. I didn't like the Dead at the time, and couldn't understand why my twin brother, Paul, would listen to them fanatically. I remember after work that day (painting houses)my boss said "hey man, let's go up to Wisconsin and see the Dead". I arrived(virtually under protest)and I remember hearing "Me and my Uncle" as we walked the long winding road from the campgrounds to the ampatheatre. When I actually got through the gate I walked briskly right to the front of the lawn (just before the pavillion, center)and ran smack dab into my twin! We stood together in awe as they closed the set with "Birdsong" and "Let it Grow". That changed me.

PHIL SINGING 'WHY DON'T WE DO IT IN THE ROAD' PRACTICALLY MADE ME DO IT IN MY SEAT, IT WAS WONDERFULLY DONE- FIRST REAL EXPERIENCE IN THE PHIL ZONE!

My first show. Arrived with little time to spare so we parked in the overflow lot (cornfield just off the golf course) and we didn't think to remember where the car was. After the show we made our way back and took about an hour to find it, but we had such fun meeting heads and talking about the show that we grabbed some beers and lost the car again.
