Comments:

Possibly the worst first set ever. They felt so bad they decided to bust out Lovelight which was the first since 12/31/82.

i thought it was an ok set, great duprees, and a hot bucket. BE women was good too. I remember being able to freely walk right up to the stage during ll rain, no heavy crowds yet, but that was soon to change. second set was great. the only space>terrapin i ever saw or heard. bobby says "lets start terrapin" and it came through the mikes and is on my aud. tape. the place was up for grabs from then on, and the lovelight breakout only added to the frenzy. my last old school show. we lost a girl who was with us and she was heavily dosed, i looked for her all night. some very nice heads gave her a ride all the way home to waukegan, IL. thanks whoever you were, you are so cool for doing that.

DON'T REALLY RECALL 1ST SET [POSSIBLY TOO MUCH SMOKE], BUT OUT OF THE 59 SHOWS I'VE SEEN, SECOND TO NONE THE BEST 2ND SET EVER- HANDS DOWN. A TERRAPIN THAT JUST SENT ME, AND THAT HISTORIC LOVELIGHT [JUST TOO MUCH MAN!]

No it wasn't. tapes don't lie. no cuts, no change in vibe, just one continuos set of music. Maybe it was the doses.

Patman is right about the last of the 'old school' shows...I remember walking into Sears (Ticketmaster) in Appleton, WI and bought lawn tix for both shows on Wednesday - two days before these shows...always had to plan ahead after that...
