Comments:

I inadvertantly came across an Oade Bros recording of this show. This is hot little show! Jerry is crazyfingers and on fire (some strong vocals, too), from Alabama all the way through - and the boys are on it! I almost think the first set is better than the second! A slinky She Belongs, one of the best Esau's i've heard, and a pretty magical Lost>Saint. Definately worth getting! I got a copy at Internet Archive (www.archive.org).

Deal-Kicks ass plain and simple. The solo that never ends, nor should.

"She Belongs To Me" played for the first time here since 1966 out of ten total times played. great tune!!

How 'bout that Jack Straw...

Driving back to MA our driver's car lights died, then the car (alternator). A friendly Kittery ME cop drove us to the Kangaroo court because our driver's licence had expired. Judge went around and asked how much money we each had. He added it up and fined all but 5 bucks. Of course I lied and got to keep mine...which we needed to use at the junk yard :) Was really surreal after a night of...you know.

When all was done at the courtroom (a dumpy dirty room slightly larger than a house bathroom), they promptly drove us to Portsmith NH, where we stayed all night in a gas station with the weirdest dudes...great experience, glad I never repeated it. Google Earth is great, all these years later I'm sitting in Missouri looking at that gas station...

I meant the above for 4/1/85...sorry. But I was here too. Loved the carpets in the halls. Called Crazy Fingers to a friend when he asked what I thought for the night. Honestly it was the first thing that popped into my head and I really didn't think they would play it...go figure.

28th anniversary of this show and man what a find. The most high energy show I've heard and the first time I heard She Belongs to Me. Sweet.

Killer show, camped out to buy tickets. got some nice floor seats. Jerry was on the mark that night. Super nice U S Blues at the end of the night.
- (12/24/2013)

the beginning of the return of Crazy Fingers, which became something of a staple by the late 80s.

She Belongs to Me is one of the best rarely played covers IMHO.
