Just downloaded from Further. Get this show! The 1st set is one of the best I've heard. Best I've heard Jerry's voice in '85.

Sounds like a Cal gig to me! I just picked this up, and they come out of the gates like rabid dogs.
-Warpig

the mountain was deffintly on on fire during this show. if anybody wants a copy please let me know.

one of my favorite dupree's, second set is what this show's all about. sweet terrapin, wheel, 4th cryptical since they brought it back less than a month before this show, then they only did it once more afterwards. get it at archive.org

I
Saturday Night-short version but it's the first song!
Music-low level Phil bombs throughout
II
Comes A Time-3rd time played in 85 after 5 year absence.
-

Comes A Time-Check out Garcia's vocals. Tattering on disaster at times but always endeavouring to persevere. The solo's are quite excellent.
-Brianmerrilyn (02/06/2008)

Brent does justice to Chuck Barry in with several styles of play in Around and Around. The boys are tight as hell on this one and after a pick up change or Garcia's axe, they get into a Phil laden groove with top notch solo's midway through for Sugar Magnolia. Slow going mid 2nd set w/the old songs being brought out of the closet but the old standards had 'em in boogie chillen mood w/the seemingly neverending solo's.

... Lets not forget the train rolling by during Fire... great show

Saturday>Fire: What I like is that although Fire is 13 minutes long, they do a great job of making it a 1st set song.

Durpee's... was Dupree's

Walkin' Blues: This version(and the Greek in June) ruined it for me the rest of the time I was seeing the Dead. Brilliant

Mama Tried: "working hours without rest..." Bill and Mickey change from rock to cut time... fucking up Bob. LOL!

Big River: Just remember bouncing round the bleachers, with Stacy, that girl that would be my girlfriend, or not... but I love you anyway Stacy... YES!

Birdsong: Lovely. But frankly, I have no recollection that they played this song. With that being said. I'm sure I danced

MNS: My favorite 1st set closer. They pulled it out here. I think Frost in april was better, but yay.

Touch of Grey: Great garage band version. Gimme this over any post "in the dark" versions any day.

Women are Smarter: That's Right

Terrapin: While Jerry remembers more lyrics, I loved the year before too much.

The Wheel: Bound to cover just a little more ground

That's it....: Having been at the Greek the month before, I wanted the reprise too.

Comes a Time... Best? Worst? Middle? Like Stella and China Doll, You just sang this song with tears in your eyes

Around and Around - Sugar Mag E: USB... Great closers...

Next to Sunday '84, the best Ventura show.

What a cool show
-Kdead (03/15/2021)

let's not forget Madonna blaring on the PA which was broadcasting Live during set break!
or let's forget it
- (05/12/2023)

I detected the ever so slightest Cosmic Charlie tease at the end of the Cryptical reprise but Cryptical itself has a similar vibe as Cosmic Charlie to begin with. It's all one song...
