Greatest "Estimated" ever! Had the crowd in a frenzy and took the roof off the place!

I went to all 3 Hartford and all 3 Worcester shows. Jerry was sick, especially his voice, for the first two Hartford shows. Last night in Hartford everyone seemed to have their act together and played a really decent, but not an outstanding show.

Of note, GD played very well at The Meadowlands and 4-1-88 was a Road Trips release.

I am writing these recollections on the first night of Worcester since I thought this was the best of all six nights. Outside of a very fine performance the last night of Worcester, this 1st night was the keeper. Very hard to find a cassette copy of this show and took me 3 years to obtain, despite being a radio broadcast. I suppose archieve.org probably has a copy.

4-7-88 The Centrum was GREAT! Touch > Stranger > Franklin's is just a phenomenal opener and only 1 of 3. Around n' Around was a huge surprise to end the first set. It is the second set where the boys decide to really rectify the prior 3 evenings in Hartford. Sandwich Sugar Mag >> Sunshine Daydream with everything but the wonderful Box of Rain in between.

The next night, 4-8-88, is a very short show, played fast, lacked the energy and inspiration compared to the prior night. The 2nd Black Peter, back-to-back, was too much to bear. Out of these 6 shows I attended ONLY 4-7-88 measured up to a fine quality GD show.
