This show was the same day as the local El Toro Airshow which was not only visible from the parking lot, actually was buzzed by low altitude fighter jets.

The day before this show I got married in New Jersey and this was the first day of our honeymoon. What a great way to celebrate. We met in the parking lot of a Dead show at Hampton Roads Colliseum even though we lived on the same road back in Jersey. Will never forget this show, unfortunately we divroced in 1998.

I remember seeing a Airforce jet do a loop at the El Toro Base Airshow that day,,it stalled out on the way down,(which I heard later), as we were walking into the show and did not see rise back up " out of the Loop". I kept looking over my shoulder while going thru the Gate/ticket check like a paranoid freak. Heard later the pilot belly landed the jet rather hard/fast but lived. Was told by my wife the I was just having a flashback (I was a ex fireman in the Airforce) PS solid show ,,,Aah Yes Tenn Jed
