first tempo re-worked eyes. beautiful version at that. sounds like the boys hit the rehearsal studio before this run of shows. i wonder what the crowd reaction was to the much slower eyes. i personally enjoy the eyes of 73-75 and those of 90-93 the best. yes, there were a lot of smokers in the years between, but eyes has to have a groove, and the years mentioned above have that groove. when the tempo is too fast, the chord structure does not flow.

according to Dozin at the Knick there is a version of Never Trust A Woman played on this date but its not listed here unless its listed as somthing different im not familiar with.

This was in my opinion the best show of the run. The energy was electric on the floor and one of the best around and around (that i can remember). Had seats about 5 rows back/phil-side. I remember someone burning the most delicious smelling rose incense. outside it was cold but the scene was chill. they blocked off a couple of roads around knickerbocker. the venue was pretty new at the time and still had the 'new venue' smell.
