Comments:

yeah, I just loved this show. I had gone to see them the night before with my twin brother and one of our good friends. I also had a ticket for the third night with my friend Valerie, but I didn't have a ticket for this second show. But that didn't stop me from driving down to Tinly by myself. I mulled around the parking lots during the day drinking beer and smoking some. I found a ticket and went in myself. I didn't actually walk in until they were in the middle of West LA Fadeaway. The highlight for me at this show was the end of the first set. Far From me, Tennessee Jed, and Bucket were all SMOKIN! Phil in particular, sounded as good as I had ever heard him. He was also incredible during the final jam in Eyes. What an amazing show this was - I've always been glad I decided to go. Incidentally, on the recording I have, there is a really bizarre thing that happens during Masterpiece. It sounds as if someone pulls the main plug- for a second there is silence and then the crowd goes nuts. Did that really happen?

Yes indeed, Paul --the P.A. went out for a second during the early part of "Masterpiece," as though someone lifted the needle from a phonograph record.

I, too, have a recording of it which bears this out, and in fact it was during that performance of "Paint" that I got the Ultimate Prank of the Cosmos pulled on me, so the whole thing has particular and enduring resonance with me.

a note to my anonymous friend above....ı was just discovering the june 10 1990 concert in Raleigh NC this week....apparently lightning hit behind the stage...knocked out the power and lights in the middle of Promised land....it took them several minutes to get things back and when they did, the band picked up exactly where they left off....really amazing!

I loved these three shows at the World. The first night was a cluster with parking and highway backups, but it calmed down for night 2 and night 3 (Brent's last shows). My first Box of Rain and BIODTL at this show. I turned down my girlfriend's offer to see Phantom of the Opera for this show. Needless to say, we were not together much longer after this!
